Task description

Since the foundation of the company in 1973, the Austrian poultry specialist Hubers Landhendl has been committing itself to top quality. The company is one of the most modern businesses in its industry and with 800 employees generates a turnover of ca. 150 million euros. The main delivery area, which is supplied by the company’s own trucks, covers the whole of Austria as well as Southern Germany. That makes the family business one of the largest poultry and delicatessen producers in Austria. The slaughter capacity is 500,000 chickens and 55,000 turkey hens per week. This equates to daily processing, packaging and picking of 200 tons of poultry – a real challenge for man and technology. In February 2009, Hubers Landhendl opened a state-of-the-art hatchery. 25 million chickens can be hatched here every year – more than one third of the annual demand in Austria.

High Degree of Automation

The Austrian poultry specialist utilizes up-to-date technology in the areas of management and production. As early as 1993, Hubers Landhendl decided to implement the industry solution by CSB-System AG. The company wanted to fully exploit and utilize existing optimization potential. It set great store by the flexibility of this new industry solution: “If you make high demands on product quality, you require powerful and flexible industry-specific software”, explains IT manager Peter Rillinger. Mapping of legal traceability requirements makes the CSB-System so important for Hubers Landhendl. The fully integrated and industry-specific ERP software ensures seamless traceability along the entire value-added chain at Hubers Landhendl.
