Sauter provides solutions for facility management, customized to suit energy-efficiently the requirements of customers and their projects all over the world. From the development stage of systems and components to decentralized control options for room management, Sauter is working on the maximum economic benefits for its customers, with minimal energy consumption throughout the entire lifecycle of a building.

Sauter selected IFS because of its focus on project management and its global reach. IFS Applications will replace the wide array of legacy software, part of which is more than 10 years old, currently being run by Sauter’s subsidiaries. This will enable Sauter to standardize its ERP infrastructure, integrate multisite processes worldwide, gain better control of its projects, and optimize and shorten order processing times. IFS Applications will be rolled out by means of a uniform global implementation process, with the first subsidiaries in Austria, Spain/Portugal and final Italy. Ultimately, further subsidiaries and the production facility in Basle, Switzerland, will migrate to IFS Applications.

The solution consists of IFS Applications components for engineering, manufacturing, distribution, maintenance, financials, human resource management, sales & service, document management, and business performance.

“IFS was selected for a number of good reasons. IFS Applications is an agile, user-friendly system with the functionality and quality needed in our business. Global capabilities are also important, and, not least, the people we met were very competent,” Stefan Widmer, Manager, Corporate IT, Sauter, said.
“We achieved this significant win because once again we were able to demonstrate the agility of IFS Applications in a complex global environment with demands that are associated with multiple sites, manufacturing, and project management,” said Peter Höhne, Vice President Sales & Marketing, IFS Germany.
